FM Konstglas
FM Konstglas was founded by two Italian brothers, Guiseppe and Benito Marcolim. FM stands for “fare Marcolin” which in Italian means “Made by Marcolin”. The brothers were trained at Murano, and brought their highly trained technical skills to the production at FM Konstglas. The glassworks specialised in hand-blown figural pieces which had an Italian flair. FM Konstglas was pretty much a family affair – a third brother (Giovanni Luigi) joined later, as well as their sister Annamaria. They also hired another italian glass blower Aure Torso. They were very good marketeers and sold their glass world-wide. Fourty years after he founded FM Konstglas, Guiseppe moved back to Italy to retire. Most pieces by FM Konstglas are signed.
